Hunter has been around Mr. Lightning for her whole life. Being Bret’s daughter, she learned the value of the small business from an early age. Before she became full-time, in May of 2024, Hunter played Division I College Soccer and got her Early Childhood Education degree. She taught early elementary school for 5 years while working with Mr. Lightning through school breaks. Hunter chose to join the lightning protection industry to put her interest in the family business and education together. Hunter loves to spend time on her family’s ranch, fishing, hanging out with the animals, and cuddling up with her dog, Tucker.
Jokingly known as “Princess Lightning,” Hunter’s role is to learn everything she can about the company and industry; she spends time in the field installing and in the office doing this. As she is learning, she uses her teaching background to enhance our in-house training for new employees. Hunter also works alongside the United Lightning Protection Association (ULPA) Apprenticeship Committee and the ULPA Education Committee to help build a National Apprenticeship Program to support the growth of careers within the industry.
