Before Bret was owner of the company, he worked within it. He started by digging holes for the ground rods when he was 12 years old. Within the next 12 years, Bret started running his own crew, oversaw the residential and commercial side of the business, and learned all the ins and outs of the industry. In 2004, Bret became co-owner of Mr. Lightning, reshaping the foundations and atmosphere. Ten years later, Bret continued with his vision and became sole owner.
In Bret’s personal time, he enjoys spending time with this wife, Raeann, and his two daughters, Aspen and Hunter. They love spending time at their ranch and going to many sporting events. His most cherished of all sporting events was watching his daughters compete. Both girls were fortunate enough to play NCAA Division I college soccer. Aspen played at the University of Montana while Hunter started at University of South Carolina before transferring to Colorado State University. After graduation, Aspen continued her education at University of Colorado Anschutz and is now a dentist at Fountain Modern Dentistry. Hunter is enjoying her fifth year teaching as a first grade teacher and loves to learn more about the family business.
Bret and Raeann also are known by many as Fixer Uppers. They have completely remodeled 3 homes and love doing a majority of the work themselves. Raeann has a degree in Interior Design and has the creative eye while Bret gets to figure out how to make it all work. Together they have accomplished a lot of things that they are very proud of including being happily married for over 30 years.
